ENVIRONMENT
WHAT MEASURES ARE BEING TAKEN TO REDUCE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT?
Northern Lights is designed to be as sensitive as possible to its parkland setting. The trail utilises existing paths and infrastructure where possible, in order to minimise effects on local ecology and wildlife. An ecology specialist will be enlisted to produce a report, with recommendations for trail producers, in order to ensure trail production mitigates any risks. The Northern Lights team is committed to following all recommendations outlined by the ecology specialist.
Northern Lights is also committed to reducing waste, reducing carbon emissions and embedding recycling wherever possible. At the live event, we will implement a robust recycling operation, use energy efficient lighting across the trail (LED) and ensure that all serve-ware is compostable, reusable or recyclable, as a part of our policy on minimising single use plastics.
